Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu is a well-known Punjabi model and is no longer a Punjabi local star. By winning the Miss Universe title, she became a global icon.
She began competing in beauty contests at the age of 17 and has since won titles such as Miss Chandigarh 2017 and Miss Max Emerging Star India 2018. She was crowned Femina Miss India Punjab 2019 and then competed in Femina Miss India. She was one of the top 12 contestants in Femina Miss India. She then earned the titles of LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2021 and Miss Universe India 2021.
She is the third Indian to be crowned Miss Universe. Before Harnaaz Sandhu, actresses Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000 were crowned Miss Universe. After winning the title, she said,

Let's know about her academic pursuits. She proceeded to Shivalik Public School for her primary education and subsequently to Government College for Girls for Post Graduate, both in Chandigarh. She was pursuing her Master's degree in Public Administration at the time.
