Miss Arkansas USA is crowned during a pageant in Fort Smith.

For 2022, new winners of Miss Arkansas USA and Miss Teen Arkansas USA have been announced.

A weekend of pageantry concluded Sunday night, with both winners representing Northwest Arkansas. Allie Shanks, a Springdale High School student, was named Miss Teen Arkansas USA 2022. Rylie Wagner, a University of Arkansas student, was named Miss Arkansas USA this year. The coronation ceremony on Sunday began with an introduction of the 25 women who competed. Twelve contestants vied for the title of Miss Teen Arkansas USA, and thirteen competed for the title of Miss Arkansas USA.

There was a top-seven for both Teen and Miss, which was then narrowed down to a top-three before the interviews and final looks were presented on stage.

The evening concluded with the crowning of this year's Miss Teen Arkansas USA and Miss Arkansas USA.

Both Shanks and Wagner will compete in the Miss USA pageant later this year. If Rylie Wagner, the new Miss Arkansas USA, wins Miss USA, she will compete for the Miss Universe Pageant crown.

The women competed in different phases as the competition began. The adolescent contestants competed in activewear, evening gowns, and onstage interviews. The phases of the "Miss Arkansas" competition were the same, but instead of activewear, there was a swimsuit competition.

Every contestant will be featured in the Opening Fashion Runway Introduction. Contestants with the highest composite scores from the Preliminary Interview, Active Wear/Swimsuit, and Evening Gown Competitions will be named Semi-Finalists and compete in the Semi-Final Active Wear/Swimsuit and Semi-Final Gown Competitions, narrowing the field to a Top 3 or Top 5 position.

We will bid farewell to our reigning titleholders, present some special awards, and crown Miss Arkansas USA 2022 and Miss Arkansas Teen USA 2022 following the Top 3 or 5 On-Stage Interviews.
