The illness got so bad at one point last year, when Biebs canceled his Purpose World Tour for several months to get treatment. “I have been so happy and fortunate to play this role in my fans’ lives over the past 10 years,” he wrote on Instagram .
“This chapter has not ended but instead will continue as a new book. Thank you so much for all of your love and support during this time. Let’s continue creating and inspiring together!”
Justin Bieber was recently diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. This is a rare disorder that affects the facial nerves, causing paralysis in the eye muscles and drooping of the eyelids. The cause of Ramsay Hunt syndrome is unknown, but some researchers believe it may be caused by a virus or bacteria that enters through the nose and spreads to the facial nerve. Ramsay Hunt syndrome is most commonly found in people between 40-60 years old. It usually starts as painless numbness in one side of their face which gradually worsens over time before becoming permanent. The first symptom of Ramsay Hunt syndrome is usually an earache or sore throat, followed by difficulty swallowing and then drooping eyelids and paralysis in one side of their face. .Researchers recognize Ramsay Hunt syndrome as a potentially fatal disorder. due to the lack of treatment and the rapid onset of symptoms.---"Okay, so I'm having a little trouble swallowing."--"How's everything else going? Does your face hurt?"-"It does feel a little numb."-"I've got some ice for that."
