Shakira won her fourth Grammy at the 67th Grammy Awards, held in Los Angeles on her 48th birthday. She took home Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Jennifer Lopez presented the award.
In her speech, Shakira dedicated the win to her two sons. She also praised immigrants, saying, “You are loved and worth fighting for.” She honored working women worldwide, calling them “the true She Wolves.”
The ceremony happened despite recent wildfires in the area. Shakira wore a sparkling black-and-orange beaded gown with a sheer skirt and floral designs. She performed during the show.
Other nominees included Anitta, Kali Uchis, Kany García, and Luis Fonsi. This was Shakira’s third Grammy win in the same category, following her first in 2001.
Happy birthday, Shakira! Your talent still shines bright.
