🎥 Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2: Kapil Sharma Returns to the Big Screen With a Wedding Comedy Sequel This September

Comedy superstar Kapil Sharma is all set to make a grand comeback to Bollywood with the much-awaited sequel Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, and fans are buzzing with excitement. Slated for a potential September 26, 2025 release, the film could mark exactly ten years since the original made its theatrical debut in 2015.

🎉 Posters Spark Hype With Multicultural Wedding Chaos

Since the release of the first batch of posters, the sequel has been generating curiosity and laughter. The promotional campaign teases a wedding-themed comedy spectacle, with each poster unveiling a different marriage scenario that Kapil’s character seems tangled in — staying true to the franchise’s formula of love, laughter, and confusion.

📅 Why September 26 May Be a Special Date

According to industry insiders, the filmmakers are seriously considering a September 26 release date. Not only does this window offer minimal box office competition, but it also serves as a nostalgic nod to the first installment, which premiered on September 25, 2015.

A source close to the production shared,

“Several dates are on the table, but September 26 stands out for its emotional and strategic value. The team wants to ensure the film gets the perfect release slot because they truly believe in its box office potential.”

🎬 Meet the Team Behind the Sequel

Directed by Anukalp Goswami, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is being brought to life by producers Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, and Abbas-Mustan under Venus Worldwide Entertainment, in collaboration with Abbas-Mustan Film Production. With such a strong production team, the film promises to bring even more laughter and mayhem than its predecessor.

🤵‍♂️👰‍♀️ Kapil’s Character Faces a Cultural Marital Mess

In this sequel, Kapil Sharma once again finds himself in a comedic whirlwind — this time navigating a culturally diverse wedding disaster. Co-starring Manjot Singh, the film is described as a full-blown “shaadi-comedy,” continuing the quirky and chaotic energy that made the original a fan favorite.

The anticipation is palpable, with fans taking to social media to express their excitement. One enthusiastic viewer wrote:

“Can’t wait to see myself in this movie!”

Another chimed in:

“Kapil Sharma Sir is a comedy legend. Bollywood superstar + super movie = magic! Bring on Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2!”

🎤 Kapil Sharma on Choosing Films: "I’m Already Rich, I Want Meaningful Roles"

In a candid conversation with News18, Kapil reflected on the kind of projects he wants to take on. Following the release of his film Zwigato, where he explored a more serious tone, he was flooded with offers for intense, dramatic roles. But many of those scripts, he joked, lacked substance.

He shared:

“After the trailer for Zwigato, I received around nine film offers, all serious roles. But it felt like many of the writers weren’t serious about their own work (laughs).”

So what does he look for in a project?

“I’ve been lucky to do good work and earn well in my comfort zone. If I have to step out of that space and shoot under the blazing sun, the script better be worth it.”

Kapil, now 41, makes it clear that money is not the motivator:

“I only want to do films that touch my heart. That’s always been my priority — not just doing movies for the sake of it. I’ve earned enough. I’m very rich (laughs).”
